Visa Travel Happy Web and Mobile App

Background

Visa Travel Happy was a cross-channel multilingual travel application available as a website on desktop, mobile and tablet, and later on as a mobile app, which provided one-stop access to Visa travel-related tools and information such as:

  • global customer assistance services
  • concierge services
  • currency conversion
  • ATM Location
  • overseas offers and promotions
  • destination travel content and iconic experiences
  • travel money facts
  • and airport and WiFi access information.

It allowed users to plan their vacations and then share their travel experiences with the rest of the community. 

The app would help them with places to see and shop, along with information one needs such as where they could exchange currency in the city they were going to, WiFi locations, taxi information and much more.

Through this, they could come up with their vacation itinerary which included place to see and shop at along with a total cost estimate. The currency converter would give them an indicative exchange rate when using their Visa card overseas.

Once at the destination, they could review experiences they visited from their itinerary.

It was gamified through travel badges, which were awarded to users based on destinations visited and experiences accomplished.  The more active they were, the more badges they earned.

Website audit of VISA owned sites, expert reviews, stakeholder engagement, customer journey mapping, feature ideation and introduction, content strategy, workshops, content model creation, paper prototyping, interactive prototyping.
