Where to Buy a Nasal Irrigation/ Neti Pot in The Hague/ Den Haag

I had a really bad sinus headache and went about looking for a Neti pot the next day. I read online that it could be found at a certain Etos in Amsterdam so I went and checked out Etos on Frederik Hendriklaan during lunch break. They did not have a neti pot. I was directed to Kruidvat  but they didn’t have it either.

As luck would have it, two women who overheard my conversation with the woman at the store let me know that I could find it at a drug store 200 meters away. She showed me where it was and as she said, I found it there!

So you should be able to find one at any drug store. If not, here is the exact drug store I went to on a map. Hope this helps you and may your sinus be cured and never return.

Jamie Oliver’s BBQ aubergine dip recipe

I got this recipe with the Jamie Oliver antipasti board I bought. So here it is:

The aubergine takes on a wonderfully smoky flavour, even when griddled.

  • 1 aubergine, pricked a few times with a sharp knife
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/2-1 garlic clove, crushed
  • A squeeze of lemon
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika, plus extra to serve

  1. On a hot barbecue or griddle, cook the aubergine for 15-20 minutes, turning, until charred and cooked through.
  2. When cool enough to handle, cut in half lengthways and scoop the flesh into a bowl
  3. Stir through the remaining ingredients, check the seasoning and serve, sprinkled with a little extra paprika.

Per serving: 51 kcals, 3.9g fat (0.8 saturated), 2.1g protein, 2.1g carbs, 1.8g sugar

Where to Buy Mookata Pots in Singapore

Mookata, the Thai style steamboat has been gaining popularity over the years here in Singapore. I wanted to buy a Mookata pot for B as a present and have been looking for over for a month now. I have finally found out where to get it, not through Google (because I didn’t get any real leads) but E.

So where can you buy Mookata pots in Singapore from then? You can buy them at Golden Mile complex (kind of Singapore’s little Thailand) for 20 SGD. There you go, enjoy!

On Art and Design

This is what I think is the difference between design(ers) and art(ists)- Design is often about what is needed by users and not what is wanted by the designer. Art is often about what is wanted by the artist and not what is needed by the audience.
