My ‘Explain IA’ competition winning definition for Information Architecture

I am pleased about winning the book ‘Search Patterns’ by Peter Morville and Jefferey Callendar on Explain IA.

My winning definition was, “Information Architecture (IA) is both the process and the product of organisation of information to facilitate efficient access to that information by its intended audience.”

And if it were to be five words, it would be, “Structuring information for efficient access.”
